Re: only external battery on ES2?
Will the internal battery charge? The external battery could be used but I guess it depends if the internal battery can be charged. External batteries can be bought pretty cheap so why not try it out.

Re: ES2 Lite with additional battery - slow uphill
Bad control board, usually due to a blown fuse on the control board. My 1st ES4 would go slow up the hill after 400 miles and Segway replaced the control and hub motor.

Re: Cheap Chinese Ninebot Control Board Failed On Me
Well you have a rear foot brake, I highly suggest you use it next time. I find more and more people don't use the foot brake while slightly tapping the brake throttle and they get into accidents and things break. I heavily use my rear foot brake while slightly pressing the brake throttle. The braki...

Re: Ninebot ES2 beeps and backlights flashing
Error 14 is related to the acceleration throttle. Make sure your handlebar grip is not pushed up against the throttle. Move the throttle up and down to make sure it's not sticking. If you took apart the scooter the there might be a issue with the throttle connector not being plugged in all the way. ...

Here's the link to what he's talking about. I take it you need to do a full flash using this method.

Re: ES4 still won't go above 24kph after BMS & DRV updates.
I also Noticed your DRV # is 5.5.1, mine is v1.3.6. That could be your issue. DRV # is referred to as the Master Control Firmware Number. Offical Ninebot scooters DRV start with v0. So Mine is v0.1.3.6 while the latest firmware update through the Segway app is v0.1.5.1 or v1.5.1. That DRV # you have...

Re: ES4 still won't go above 24kph after BMS & DRV updates.
Sadly it sounds like ether a control board issue or a hub motor issue. I sent my ES4 in Segway for repair recently and it was for slow climbing up very small hills. Never had a issue until firmware 1.41. They replaced my hub motor and control board and sent it back. Seemed great but got a error 42 r...

Re: Anyway to downgrade BMS?
I haven't done it yet since my scooter came back from Ninebot with a error 42. I had to send it back to Segway but I will try it when I get it back.
