Help : Engine problem on Okai es400

Postby Lait-eau Tue May 21, 2024 6:35 pm

Hello everyone, I need your help.
I have recovered (legally) an Okai ES400 scooter.
I did a bypass on the battery to get the right output voltage and I wanted to change the controller.

I'm using the 26A cs866 1T5 controller (recommended on a forum).

When I test the controller my engine doesn't work, it tremble and stalls but doesn't turn as it should. I have the impression that it can't get going (it turns when I try with my hand). I've changed the settings in the controller but nothing helps.

As for my wiring, I've connected my motor to the 9pin port on the controller, the battery, the lights and the 5pin which manages the screen, the throttle and the brakes. There's still a cable marked 3pinPAS that I haven't connected and I don't know what it's for.

Can anyone tell me what the 3pinPAS cable is for?
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my assembly that would explain this problem with my motor?

I've scoured several forums but haven't found an answer that solves my problem.

Good day to you all.

You seem to be doing a lot of troubleshooting! A pedal assist sensor, which helps the controller determine when to supply power based on pedaling, usually uses the 3-pin PAS connection. You may not need to attach pedal assist if you are not using it. Regarding the motor problem, it can have to do with incorrect controller settings or possibly a controller-motor incompatibility. Have you examined the wiring for the phase and hall sensors? The symptoms you mentioned might occasionally be brought on by a straightforward connectivity issue. I wish you luck and hope you figure it out quickly!

Engine problems on the Okai ES400 electric scooter can stem from a variety of causes, ranging from technical issues PolyTrack to inadequate maintenance.
