Seagull Diagnostic Tool

Postby UgloBuglo Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:27 pm

For those interested in the Seagull Diagnostic Tool that popped up on scooter-unlock.eu a while back, here is what you get when ordering it.

First of all, I have no affiliation with the site whatsoever!
I have yet to try it out since I received it today, but I was one of the (if not THE) first to order it so I thought I could share some pictures of it.

This is what I got in my package:

The box is completely filled with rock hard epoxy, but you can see a USB Mini port just at the surface. Given the size of the box and the port, my guess is it is just an Arduino Nano in there.

Arduino Nano and Arduino Pro Mini for scale, those are not included in the kit

When I get a chance to actually try it out I will keep you updated.

howdy! I was also able to purchase the seagull. It hasn't arrived yet, but as soon as it does I'll try to get it installed and respond with anything that comes up!

A short update on this;
The Seagull does NOT work with ESC/controller ES200G unfortunately. Or rather, everything works except driving the wheel :-(

It turns on, the lights can be switched on/off, the wheel gets unlocked so it can spin freely, the display works and shows speed when wheel is spun by hand. Touch plate works as a button to accept commands.
If throttle or break connectors are not connected, the appropriate error mesages are shown on the display.

but... the motor does not drive, not from stand-still and not when giving it a start-up spin either.

If someone would sell/donate an ES200D or ES200B controller to me I could test those, but I don't have any of these myself.

Any luck uglo?
Not really :-(
I agreed to ship my ESC to scooter-unlock for diagnistics, and it should be on its way back now.
I was also promised a free Alpha version of the new Kingfisher tool as compensation, but I haven't got any tracking number for that so really no progress has been made so far.
