Gotrax GXL V2 commuting edition - XLR battery upgrade

Hi I was looking at the two different scooters and I was wondering if anyone has put a XrUltra LG battery in the GXL V2. I am tempted to try it seeing as the scooters are the same size. Both batteries are 36volts and the original is 5.2ah and the ultra is 7.0ah. The head units seem exactly the same, so I suspect the connections may be the same. Would it work? Has anyone done this before?
