I recently readed this:
"The 1004Wh battery (NEE1009-W) uses an STM32G030 CPU, unlike the older models which uses an STM8L151 CPU. Completely different architecture. You cannot flash BMS versions earlier than 5.0.0 on these, and there is to my knowledge no retail version of this firmware. Dont even try, you'll brick the battery."
this post was from 2021.. do we have some new information about? maybe useable workarounds or firmwares?
do we still need to replace the bms or bypass it?
NEE1009-W Battery
Re: NEE1009-W Battery
Hi there, i m geoff, 42, from Paris.
When you hold the battery level button, you Can measure the real voltage of the battery.
So my trick is to solder a interruptor instead of/with the push button.
Then you Can charge and use it.
At this Time, i m not able to communicate with the bms yet.
Hope it will help

Re: NEE1009-W Battery
I tried the work around with soldering the "test" connection. While it did allow power to turn on my ebike build unfortunately once I started to accelerate shortly after it would cut out and and loose power temporarily. I'm thinking bms bypass is gonna have to be the next option or bms replacement... I havet tried getting into the internals yet so not to sure how to go about the bms bypass yet but any info would be nice
Thanks
Thanks

Re: NEE1009-W Battery
The battery's performance, longevity, and safety can all be impacted by changing or bypassing the BMS, and there may even be legal repercussions.

Re: NEE1009-W Battery
There is still no publicly available STM32 firmware for the NEE1009-W BMS yet that could be flashed. The STM32 architecture makes porting firmware complex. dino game

I also managed to buy one of this for my 36v solar panel system.
I ended up removing the battery cover, disconnecting the 11 pin socket from the BMS and made a splitter, drilled a hole and got my wires outside so I can still keep the original BMS running for the led display and maybe if in the future I manage to rewrite the firmware.
