Hi guys,

Great forum! Amazing things happening here. This is my first post.

I'd like to change the serial of my KS max.

Having read all posts, the options seem to be:

• Use the dashboard from an ESx, or
• Crack open my dashboard and install BLE555

Some posts suggest that it is important to use a legitimate ESx dashboard.

Since there are so many online, could you please recommend any that are known to work for installing CFW?

Thanks for passing on the links, fps. I’ve been reading all the recent posts on CFW, and the exact and full process to go from stock 25kmh-limited version to CFW with full speed is not entirely clear.

So we need to first flash BLE555 onto the max dashboard with an ST-LINK, then use an original ES dash to change the serial number? Or can everything be done with the ES dash?

I think it can all be done with the ES dash. The toolkit says:

"To send firmware and communicate with your Ninebot Max, you need to flash BLE555 with ST-Link first. (or you can use an ESx dashboard with original firmware)"

I think the idea is to buy the fake dash linked above, use the ST-Link to change it to original ES firmware (video), then connect the dash to the ks max. That will allow serial number changes and the new CFW released today.

Why do you need an ES dash with custom firmware? I thought the whole point was that you need an ES dash with ORIGINAL firmware for hacking the KS MAX.

Hi sorry to ask but how do I tell if I have a original esx dashboard or a clone ?
As I bough 1 from ebay and it says original but i can't be certain
Is there any tell tale signs or if i try to flash the g30 with a clone would j do damage ?
