New Ninebot encrypted?

I bought a new Ninebot max yesterday. I connected it to the Ninebot-flasher app on my windows laptop. Bluetooth picked up, scooter beeped and verified connection. But none of the info on the app fills in. Am I out of luck? United States version. Any help is very appreciated thank you!
