Replacement/Cloned Controller options?

As title states, does anyone offer/sell replacement/cloned controller boards? I want to play around with custom firmware, but would feel a lot more comfortable doing so with a different controller. That way if I ever brick it I have my original on standby and I am not left with a scooter that does not work. I have a new G30P and the firmware is the most current offering from Segway, so ST Link is my only option for that controller anyways. Alternatively if no one offers an all in one solution, does anyone know where I can get an original equipment replacement board? As well as someone who offers firmware downgrading services?
