Looking for easily accessible power pins for a deck light project. Anyone know what the unused 3-pin connector is for?

I would like to know if there is easy access to any DC current on the retail controller board. I know I could always connect to the unused pin 3 on the controller-to-dash connector to get 36V (and step that down) but I'm wondering if there are any other options I may not have considered.
I see there is an unused 3-pin connector on the board. Anyone know what that is for?
Does anyone know if there is a fuse on the 5V or the 36V output pins, and if so, what its rating is?
