Hello
I have done the upgrade via ST-link but the battery is not working properly, I disassemble the battery in order to rest the BMS but there is no rest but and no pins or firmware to flash it.
I noticed the bms is constantly blinking red is that normal ?
And is there any solution?

Re: (TUT) Unlocking the Ninebot F-series (F20, F25, F30, F40) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph)
Hello everybody ! I have F30E version (it came with 300w motor but 10000mA battery and 25km/h restriction), firmware 5.8.9. All is well but lack of cruise control :(
If I change the region to F30 Global (25 km/h) in the program it turnes into global F30 in info, allows to enable cruise control and it's works well, but now it thinks that battery is 7500mA and all software show 7500mA in info tabs. Another anomaly is max speed, now the scooter is running real 30km/h but shows 21-22km at the display. Without any problem it allows to revert back by changing serial numer to default value.
The difference in serial is in one letter: for global F30 - N5GCExxxxxxxxx, for F30E - N5GQExxxxxxxxx
Any ideas how to enable cruise without loosing real speedometer and full 10000mA capacity ?

did you fix that?
i have the f30e, 5.8.9 firmware. Can i do dhe change region to global without any problem?
Re: (TUT) Unlocking the Ninebot F-series (F20, F25, F30, F40) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph)
Hi ! After latest update of Utility (ver 2.3.2 (63)) we have new variants of regions but now in fact it doesn't change the region. Trying to change to F30 25km/h from F30 30km/h and after reboot and reconnect it stays F30 30km/h.
After restoring my default serial (F30E - 10000mA with 25 km restriction) we got "ESC region - unknown" but now it shows 10200mA battery in Nine Dash and of course cruise function dont work
upd
After trying to change region to F30 20km/h it turns into F40 20km/h (serial - N5GDE****) and now I even can't revert it back with changing my default serial with letter Q and any variants from menu, it always stays F40 20km/h without cruise and also with blocked letter D in serial :(
Any variants to download previous version of Utility to try older variants of changing region ?

Re: (TUT) Unlocking the Ninebot F-series (F20, F25, F30, F40) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph)
Hi,
Sounds like I've encountered similar issues as others.
I recently used the SHU app to attempt to change the region of my Segway F30, but instead have limited the speed to 15kmh and it shutters everytime I use the throttle.
Can someone provide steps to revert back to the original software? 25kmh would be much better than the 15kmh I have now.
Also when I connect using the SHU app, my scooter displays "no region" when I expected it to show something in this space.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Cheers

Using st link, I was able to return the scooter to its original state (indicating the original serial number) and now with firmware 5.4.9. As before, it goes 25 km/h and all utilities show a 10200mA battery and again there is no cruise control (serial number F30E). From here we can now conclude that the firmware is the same for all F scooters, but the serial number plays a role when executing the code. Maybe the developer of the utility will figure out which bits or something else are responsible for different parameters and they can be changed regardless of the region, that would be coolAfter trying to change region to F30 20km/h it turns into F40 20km/h (serial - N5GDE****) and now I even can't revert it back with changing my default serial with letter Q and any variants from menu, it always stays F40 20km/h without cruise and also with blocked letter D in serial :(

and now I've tried to change model/km/h in latest utility and nothing happened, tried F30 25km/h and F30 30km/h - null changes, ESC region is unknown for my serial and even with try of changing serial to letter C (which works ok eariler) there is no changes. Latest version only make changes to serial with 20km/h F40 and then it will be locked.
Re: (TUT) Unlocking the Ninebot F-series (F20, F25, F30, F40) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph)
Now I understand what SHFW is, I finally decided to try installing it in the utility. The number of settings is very pleasing and now I can configure the cruise control to suit every taste, however there are some small problems. Now I received an F30E (with its native serial number, its region is defined in the utility as unknown) with the determination of the battery capacity of 10200 mA in dashboards, but the maximum speed (and according to gps) is 20-21 km/h despite any current and speed SHFW settings (by the way, after it installation, now I can change the custom serial number again). And here is the conclusion of the experiment at the moment - despite the fact that the firmware is completely customized with the ability to change very deep settings, it is still somehow interconnected with the basic setting of the region. After changing the serial number to the letter of the euro region 30km/h with all the old SHFW settings, the scooter now reaches 24-25km/h (but now the battery in the dashboards is shown as 7500mA). Perhaps this will be useful and interesting to the developer of the utility. I also want to say thank you for your work.
Try to change it back and then if not help try to downgrade it using ST-Link with your native serialI recently used the SHU app to attempt to change the region of my Segway F30, but instead have limited the speed to 15kmh and it shutters everytime I use the throttle.

Hey Anatoly,
I admire work you put to mod it :)
In order to make any changes to serial did you have to make any downgrade or something? With my current FW on my F40D any attempts simply restart the controller with 3 beeps and no changes are being accepted.

I have the same problem, could you solve it?Hi,I have unfortunately upgraded to DRV 5.6.9 and it really sucks.
I'm trying to downgrade it to 5.4.9 or another earlier version using IAP and Ninebot Flasher, however both these apps say 'bad file' when trying to select the drv549.bin.enc file.
What's the recommended way of downgrading firmware on F series scooters with Windows?
any luck with downgrading firmware?? My updated to 5.7.7 and I am stuck with 20km/h
PLEASE HELP!!! PLEASE HACK MY F40
Rgrds,
Re: (TUT) Unlocking the Ninebot F-series (F20, F25, F30, F40) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph)
I have BLE 3.0.7 and DRV 5.8.11. After region change in SHU unwillingly to "German manuver 30kmh old SN" my scooter changed from original F30 (max 25kmh, 5100mAh battery) to virtual F40D (max 22kmh, 10200 mAh). Scooter has after change also weird acceleration.
I would like to return the scooter to the original setup with the original serial number.
However, changing the serial number does not work (XiaoFlash, SHU Flash etc,).
I cannot change the region to any other.
Downgrade firmware does not work either. I tried to downgrade to 5.8.4 and lower 5.3.x, but it always says SHU error message :
Flashing failed.
Update failed!Reason: Data format error
I would like to avoid invasive methods such as ST link firmware change with cables and necessary disassembly of the device, which would lead to the loss of the warranty.
Please, are you planning any custom firmware 5.8.11 for SHU, which would allow changing the serial?
Thank you.
