Can confirm that you can change regions back and forth on the F40a with no issues at all.
Apon first update of the F40a out of the box the region is set to (Global F25 25kmh) as default.
I recommended to change it to (Global F40 30kmh) using the ScooterHacking app.
The battery and motor recieves the power well and doesn't drain the battery as fast as you would expect.

Hi comunity,
I have an Ninebot F40E and can confirm that with the utility I can run the Global region hack without problems on the lastest Firmware.
The motor starts without problems and speedwise i can reach 32/33 Km/h measured with GPS. Battery weird as it may be I have no extra drain. I use 50% of it during the day be it with EU region (33 Km/h) or EU region (25 Km/h).
The only issue that I have is the speed counter on the scooter is not accurate, when I am full speed it only shows 26 Km/h but on my GPS it says 32/33 Km/h and it also messes up the milage I make, for example from my house to my work place 2.21 KM with the EU region but with the hack it only shows as 1.90Km (maybe because of the faulty speed advertised?). Hope you guys could fix this.

Hello Everyone.
Just bought an F25e , i tried to change region to F40 Global but with no clue, i got problems while accelerating and the weird sound you all hear. So i changed region to F30 global, same 25kph but slightly more torque.
You confirm that if i downgrade to 5.3.4 i can use the F40 global correctly?
I tried to downgrade with the official DRV repos but with no success, it just says "BAD FILE" .
Do you know how to correcly downgrade F25/30 ?

what do you mean by the latest firmware? 5.8.x, 5.7.x... ?
I'm on 5.7.7 with my F40E, but I'm affraid to go up to 5.8.1, which app is wanting me to do :-)

I am on 5.8.4 firmware, i bought this scooter last month. I've bin running it with 5.8.4 firmware since day one and the global region hack for the last two weeks now.

Cześć, czyli jeśli mam model F30d i drv 5.8.4 nie będzie ta metoda działac? Próbowałem i jest po zmianie, dźwięk dwukrotny i pokazuje dalej 20 km!/h de.

Hi! I have a Ninebot F40E scooter.
I changed the region code to "Global-F40 30km/h" and it worked fine and then I changed the region code to "DE-F40D 20km/h" by accident and now it doesn't work properly! My serial number changed from "5GF" to "5GG" and I can't change it back and I can't even change back the region code.
I can't change anything the scooter seems to be locked.?!
