I am just wondering: The ReFlasher - what does it do? I thought it would simply upload the last hackable firmware but it didn't seem so or did the ScooterHacking Utility report a wrong firmware version?
ReFlasher is flashing the latest firmware version, which is hackable. The DRV584 from it is patched, which allows flashing via Bluetooth, changing the region etc.

Ahh.. so my confusion was, that I had exactly the same version installed already and then couldn't tell the difference from the patched and unpatched one.

Thanks for clarifying: -)

I bought this one:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07YJPDDKQ/ref ... E_SCE_dp_1

Any of the st-link dongles. I just chose this one because they could deliver within a couple of days.

I just can't believe that Segway and other scooter companies locked their FW to a way that there are no exploits and it's "unhackable" :)
I thought about buying a secondary controller on Ali but I already saw that some of them are poor copies - considering that it can damage battery and also with higher speeds it requires more power flow through it I wouldn't take a risk. And there is also a matter of warranty, I still have it for more than a year so disassembly is rather a no go.

I also flashed to the patched 5.8.4 using st link.
Unfortunately, it doesn't really bring any benefit, except that you should be able to downgrade again with it, but there is currently no DRV 5.7.0, from which it should work.
And you can switch to global without St Link, works the same way, scooter runs 30 kmh, but the speedometer is wrong. Known problem, which should be fixed later, as soon as DRV 5.7.0 is available

Hey
I’ve been trying to change my SN in my F40D cuz 20kmh is just trash but I don’t have a android phone so I’m using my pc and when I try to change the SN it just beeps 3 times and nothing happens, I have dev 5.8.9 which I heard is stupid but is it totally impossible or do I need to get an android phone for it to work,

And is there anyone working on a new hacker for these versions, I mean if Segway can update my scooter there still is some kind of loop hole

Thanks

Hi all,

Has anyone tested the 30km/h hack with the new 5.8.11 firmware?
