ES2 : Power values off in Nine Dash without external battery ?

Just got a used ES2 that came with an external battery, so effectively an ES4. Pretty happy with it, especially after installing a CFW to get over the loss of power a few minutes after starting a climb but I'd like to use it without the external battery to help with the weight going up stairs and I'm finding that "Nine Dash" appears to report incorrect power values, i.e. 2x what they should be. Anyone else notice that ?
