I changed the S/N. But when I use the segway-ninebot app on my iPhone and attempt to activate, it asks for a phone number (not an email). The problem is the only avaialble prefixes are +86, +852, +852, and +886 which are from china, hong kong, taiwan, etc. How do I get around this so that it can send an activation code to my USA phone number??

I figured it out. I wasn't changing the 4th digit in serial number to a T before attempting to activate the control board. Case closed.
