I would like to know if it's possible to use the ES2 with only a external battery, because my internal battery is HS.
And I see that it's more easy to buy the external battery that the internal.
I prefer to be sure before buy a external

Will the internal battery charge? The external battery could be used but I guess it depends if the internal battery can be charged. External batteries can be bought pretty cheap so why not try it out.

With the new CFW option called 'Bypass Ninebot BMS requirement', it's possible. I try it now and it's works well.
You can completely bypass the internal batt but pay attention that you don't have any information on battery state...
