Just to...understand Ninebot ES/SNSC Custom Firmware Toolkit

Hi I'm brand new to scooter hacking world, my Es2 with no additional battery running on 1.5.1. firmware need some boost. Just few questions to Understand how it works.
I saw ES4, ES4-L and ES2mod. Which one is suitable for my scooter? Is there a good setting you guys suggest? Example: speed, brake and safety for motor? Ive tried to downgrade to 1.3.9. and it was super simple, but worried to try other setting. All help will be welcome.
