I just received my ES2, I bought it locally here in Dublin, Ireland, I presume it was imported..
when i start the App it tells me there is a new firmware

[Master Control firmware] V0.1.3.9
according to max speed requirements issued by National Technology Standard Institute of South Korea, Please update the firmware of your Ninebot ES2

[BMS firmware] V0.1.4.1
New features
*Battery standbye consumtion optimimized

Can someone advise if i should update it and will it change anything on the scooter? will the firmware curtail speed as described in the Firmware info? or is the firmware region aware so only if im riding in South Korea? (i wont be EVER) how does this work??

DRV1.3.9 + BMS1.4.1 combo is what I use and it works great - do the update

I prefer DRV1.3.X because I think that DRV1.2.x and 1.4.x have some serious issues, like braking or KERS.

BMS1.4.1 however improves range by a lot for me

Hey guys I just bought my es4 from auction yesterday and I really need help! I bought a circuit board 1 month prior on ebay plugged it in.. it wont accelerate(the motor is locked? ) On the speedometer it doesnt show battery life bars only zero ..went on segway app (master control firmware is v0.1.3.9) tried the update, ble firmware needs update (v0.1.0.6->v0.1.0.7) but doesn't download only shows 1% then fails it says message timeout? Any advice would help ! Thanks .
