unlocking ES4 and flashing issue.

Postby countcobolt Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:12 pm

Hi all

my friend bought a couple of ninebots (ex-rentals) now, they first gave the error message indicating they cannot connect to the servers (makes sense). I manage to flash the controller board, and did copy the register as indicated in
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf_KrEb76ZY

Next step, I flashed the firmware of the dashboard using the normal firmware in : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kba7yK9NV6c

I couldn't change the serial number but after updating the firmware using the file found under viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14 I managed to get a working board...

But, then we moved to the next board. Unfortunately, the board was using a 5 pin connector. When opening the dashboard, I saw 4 pins, labelled G T B 5 using the color coding red, green yellow black. We traced the 5 pin connecter and found that the blue wire is actually the green one. We connected the red, blue yellow and black on the board as indicated on the video.

So, first we blew up a dashboard, doing a second board, we actually now got error 10. Indicating there is a "Dashboard and control board communication abnormal check connected cable" error. So, hence my question: can we use these dashboard on the board? This is the lyft board having the silicone cover on it. The dashboard itself (even tried a new one out of the box) have the HIGO-B4 4 pin cable.

Kind regards

Steve
