My Ninebot ES2L only makes 27 after flash

Postby T3rje Fri Aug 14, 2020 6:04 pm

Hey

I have set the speed limit to 40km/h and max power 42000. Scooter still limits on 27km/h. Looks like it shoud make 32km/h. I am from norway, factory speed limit is 22km/h

Any tips?:)

The ES2L sold in Norway only comes with a 250W motor (the same motor as the ES1), while the standard ES2 sold internationally has a 300W one. For that reason you can't expect to see the same results on the ES2L as those on the standard ES2 with a 300W motor. You'll have to look at the results exptected on an ES1. You'll probably also need the external battery for best performance if you haven't got it already

I have an ES2L as well, and I am thinking of trying to swap out the front wheel for a 300W one for better performance when going uphill. It should still be legal to use in Norway as far as I can tell. But I'm leaving the speed limit at the factory default of 22km/h. Remember, by increasing the speed limit of the scooter it is no longer considered a "bicycle" by law. So it's more like riding an illegal moped illegally on pavements/bike tracks, without an insurance. So you can get into serious liability issues if you run down and injure someone, especially on a footpath where mopeds aren't allowed.

Did you try the motor swap?

I swapped the 250W motor on my E2SL with 350W motor. It feels a bit stronger, and now I wonder how to configure the software. I also have the external battery unit installed.

What is the best configuration?
