Still waiting on my refund, Corey. I gave you my Google Pay after you said Venmo is not working. Where is my refund? I left you a vm a week or two ago. Time to pay back everyone.
You apparently don't read very well or don't have patience to read previous reply's in forum posts. I can't certify that you didn't already receive a refund directly from Venmo until they can tell me who has been refunded directly. The rest of everyone else has received their product.

Just a follow-up regarding CDogg (Cory). He finally came through and I received the dash today in the mail. I immediately installed it and contacted him to let him know I received it. He gave me at least a good half an hour of his time over text messages to walk me through setting it up - changing the serial, flashing updated software, flashing the custom firmware for the speed hack and making sure the settings were set correctly.

I honestly given up that I would get a dash from him, and I even told him via a text message I wasn't holding my breath that he would deliver. Yeah, it was over 3 months waiting on him, but I'm glad he didn't walk away and followed through with his end of the deal. Dash works and that's all I really wanted.

I'm hopeful that he gets the dashes to anyone else who didn't get one and that this will serve as a lesson learned on his part to avoid such a situation in the future.

I can certify, though. And I can send you a screenshot of my entire history since I sent you money on Venmo on December 28. I have not received anything from you. You asked me for my Google Pay and you said you would pay me that way. You still have not sent me my refund. You also told me you had inventory on the controller and to send the money. And right after you received the money you then said you would need to order the part. Then you come back a couple weeks later and you send me a picture of the purple controller and said they got it wrong.

Send me my refund.

Reach out to him via text message (I tried calling and never got him on the phone) and see if he can send you a dash. He did send me one and it worked - and he also sent me a screenshot of the tracking number this time around.

I can feel your frustration, I experienced the same with this. He did deliver as promised on my end, hopefully he can do the same with you.

Thank you! I was able to follow your steps and my scooter now goes 18-19mph. However it the motor starts vibrating and making a loud bearing noise at those speeds, as well as when using the regenerative brake heavily.
Are these still the recommended settings? Or is there something else wrong or that I should check out?

It took me few days with so mant conflicting information to get this scooter to full potential so to save others time and money here is a quick write up on how to:
1-order a fresh dashboard on amazon this is what i ordered: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TSNVMM9/re ... UTF8&psc=1 , but they areall over ebay and amazon you don't need 50 bucks oem, it is so easy to install and many youtube videos on how tom you need a security bit to unscrew the handle bars. You can get a set here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q21RPS2/re ... YFbTCRQVJ3

2- once the dash is installed, download the xiaoflasher app from google play store spelled exactly like this.

3-go to https://esx.cfw.sh/. If you know what your doing, then you can go ahead and do it, if you dont, do what i did to avoid killing yourself or the scooter. Input the following settings:
A-presets:ES4.
B-basics: select DRV139 from drop down, leave the rest alone.
C-power &speed:
   - drag the slider to 51000, to stay on the safe side.
-Max speed set it to max unless you want it slower
   -Motor start speed: 2kmh
-Kers: if you dont wanr to die like i almost did select  KERS/12 ("freewheel") and MAKE SURE NO KERS box is unchecked.
4-advanced:leave everything alone except last one, check the box "current based throttle algorithm." Withour this your scooter won't go past 16 mph.

lastly here hit finished time to cook and select xiaoflasher as your app, download the zip file to youe phone where you can find it or to youe computer and send to your phone somehow.

Go to xiaoflasher app,
1-hit the plug logo which will show your scooter if you installed the dash correctly and powered the scooter up. Once you are connected,  and scooter beeps, click on select zip file then find the file you downloaded from instructions above.

2-hit flash selected zip file, DONT MESS with anything else yet, and stay next to your scooter obviously until its done.

3- once its done turn scooter off and back on, go back to the xiaoflasher app and connect to your scooter again.

4- if your scooter original serial that showed on top of the app or stamped on bottom of your scooter is N2GRK1841CXXXX or almost the same as this. You need it replace it with N2GTX1601CXXXX. Replace xxxx with last 4 digits of your current serial. Step 5 is how you replace it

5- go to "change region"  and hit custom. Wait for the counter if u dont want to donate. Type in the new serial from above N2GTX1601Cxxxx.    Replace xxxx with last 4 of your serial.

Hit submit and flash the new serial.

You are done your scooter will now ride smoothly , switch between modes and go rocket speed aka 23mph or more.

Same issue here. Also I noticed at top speed sometimes the regenerative braking kicks in and then goes back to top speed.

Looking for any better mods...

I was able to flash my Walmart bird with custom firmware with ES-downG. I ended up replacing the dash from the purple clone to a green and it didn't have the C15 capacitor. No soldering required. I have the speed increase, but on the segway app I don't have the option to change the lights or the speed mode. Do I need to change my serial number to achieve the segway app capabilities? Thanks!

Once you get a firmware you like, I highly recommend staying away from the Segway App altogether. Since I've been fixing scooters for people (going on my 3rd year now, Thanks Lothean!) The Segway app updates seem to cause more issues then they fix. If you can't figure out how to make a good custom firmware, just use the repository button in the Scooterhacking app or xiaoflasher. And a good rule of thumb is to NOT use the newest or latest update. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but most of the earlier versions of firmware for the ES4 and Max G30 are more stable and will have less compatibility issues.
I still run 1.3.9 on my ES4. So don't be afraid of the older firmwares.
