Connection Issues

I have an es2 Ninebot here just recently bought second hand. Currently on Version 1.6.4. Trying to flash it to increase speed etc. When trying to read in Ninebot iAP it gives me 'cancelled due to retry'. The app does not give me any FW/BMS info, just connects. Also tried Ninebot-Flasher which connects but all buttons are greyed out so I cannot click anything. What can I do here?
